Saturday Morning Snowshoe Tour
Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter
Every Saturday starting December 7, 2019 - March 21, 2020
8:30 AM to 10:00 AM
Price: $10 per person | $5 locals | Free for Swaner members

Explore the Swaner Preserve wetlands with a guide! During this tour, you will learn about the history of the Preserve as well as what kinds of plants and animals you will find during the winter. Additionally, you will have time to search for and identify animal tracks and other signs of animal life on the Preserve. Depending upon the time of year, lucky hikers may see an abundance of birds, elk, or even nesting sandhill cranes!

Please come prepared with snow gear, such as boots, snowpants, hats, gloves, coat, and water bottle. Snowshoes can be rented from the EcoCenter - $2.50 for members, $5 for non-members.

The world's best freestyle skiers come together this winter for the Visa Freestyle International Ski World Cup at Deer Valley Resort. Watch as competitors twist, fly and race their way to the podium on the same runs used during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. All events are free to the public.
This marks the 20th year of international and world competitions hosted at Deer Valley, including the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, three World Championships and 16 World Cups making the resort an esteemed venue for the freestyle community. All competitions will be held at night under the lights at Deer Valley Resort.

Western skijoring is an action packed competition where a horse and rider pull a skier at a fast pace through a course that includes gates, jumps, and rings. Join us on February 21 & 22, 2020at Soldier Hollow for this fast action sport!
