Why we are discontinuing Traditional and Clear QAM TV?

All West Communications is continually looking at how to deliver the best overall experience for our customers. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light just how important your connection to information, entertainment, and communications is. We realize that increasing bandwidth for our customers’ growing needs is necessary sooner rather than later. To respond to this need, we have moved our planned streaming TV upgrade to November 1, 2020, and will be discontinuing our traditional cable TV service at that time. We understand the impact this may have—and we realize that change can be hard. However, we believe this is the best decision to provide you with a quality TV and internet experience.

This upgraded streaming TV service, All West.tv, in conjunction with All West’s internet, brings you advanced features and the future of TV today.

The traditional cable TV platform is quickly becoming outdated—and because of this, it is getting harder to maintain and improve the system. All West.tv’s fully-featured, streaming platform will allow us to continue bringing you today’s top TV experience! All West.tv—which requires All West’s internet—offers the same great entertainment options you are accustomed to PLUS an easy-to-use interface, expanded options, and more control! You can record, replay, restart, pause, and rewind many live and on-demand shows. And say good-bye to commercials as you fast forward through recorded and replayed programs.

    Customers should not see a dip in bandwidth/speed even with other internet-connected devices in use. We recommend 5 Mbps per stream.

  • Will All West still provide me with internet service?

    Yes, All West will continue to provide fast and reliable internet service to your home.

  • Will I need a new TV or other special equipment to get All West.tv?

    If you choose All West.tv, you’ll either need a smart TV, a TV with an HDMI port, or a streaming device such as Amazon Fire TV Stick or Apple TV set-top box.

    All West.tv is compatible with many smart devices that you may already have in your home. Including:

    • Mobile Phones
    • Tablets
    • Smart TVs
    • Web Browsers
    • Streaming Sticks
    • Streaming STBs
    • Set-top Box

  • Will All West help me set-up my new equipment needed for All West.tv?

    All West.tv is considered self-install as it does not require any special equipment as long as you have a compatible device. We are happy to walk you through the install over the phone and can provide written install instructions. If you need on-site assistance, we can set up an appointment for an in-home visit.

    An All West.tv install costs $50 for up to 3 TVs and each additional TV after that is $10.

  • When will Traditional and Clear QAM TV be removed from my bill?

    Any changes made after October 24 will not be reflected on your November bill—those changes will be reflected on your December bill.

    Traditional TV services will begin to be shut down on November 1, 2020. If you have not discontinued your traditional TV service before that, you may see a few days of November service on your December bill. The December bill will be the last bill you see traditional TV charges.

  • What do I do with my old set-top box?

    You do not need to return any traditional TV equipment to All West. However, to help keep our communities green, All West will be happy to recycle all old set-top boxes for you. Just drop it off at one of our 4 locations:
