How strong is your password?

These days, a strong password is necessary when there are so many viruses and malware attacking our devices every day. Today’s blog post will give you some tips on how to avoid threats and how to make sure you have a ‘strong’ password.

Don’ts

Don’t use the names of your friends, family members, or pet’s names.

Don’t use words in the dictionary.

Don’t use common character sequences like, “123456” or “May2016”.

Don’t use previously-used passwords.​​

Don’t use your login information.​​​

Don’t use keyboard patterns.

Do’s

Create passwords that are at least 10 characters in length.

Create passwords that are difficult to guess.

Use at least three of: alphabetic, mixed case, caps lock letters, numeric punctuation, and symbols.

Vary the case of letters, like jSno34Rt

Create different passwords for different websites.
