All West Communications is seeking a Programmer/Analyst summer intern. Applications must be completed with their junior year of College majoring in either Computer Science or Business Information Systems.

All West is hiring a full time Wireless and Transport Technician to install, maintain, and repair wireless and transport (SONET, microwave, DLCs) equipment, private line circuit equipment and long distance equipment. This position will also be required to assist with wireless issues.

Detailed Work Activities

• Maintain and provision transport equipment
• Maintain and provision private line equipment for T1, FX, DDS, Analog Data
• Maintain and provision long distance equipment
• Maintain and provision wireless equipment (BTSs, repeaters, antennas, etc.)
• Apply interpersonal communications techniques
• Answers customer or public inquiries
• Explains services to subscribers
• Program and assist in training others to program handsets
• Maintain work tools and equipment
• Follow safety guidelines

The following is required or equivalent experience:

• 2 year degree in RF, electronics or related field
• Certified in ascending and descending towers and rescue
• Work extra hours to restore service in the event of an outage
• Work graveyard shifts from time to time to update equipment
• Safe driving record

The following is preferred:

• Knowledge of Nortel Metro Cell BTS, Andrew Node C repeaters, Turin SONET equipment, Calix C7, Calix E5
